I trust the subtle stirrings guiding me forward.

Well… hello there. It’s been way too long!

Life has been moving, shifting, and blooming in quiet ways over here. As we tiptoe toward spring, I’m wondering… how has your year been unfolding so far?

Before we left Alexandria on February 1st to head to California, I carried a quiet desire to hold onto a little more of winter’s coziness, creativity, and inward rhythm. Well, the ice storm granted that pause!

We arrived in California, where both the season and my energy began to shift. This is the eighth year we’ve rented a house here for two months in the winter. I came with a simple intention inspired by my Yogi Tea quote: “Let opportunities come to you.” Instead of filling my days with expectations, I left space for curiosity, synchronicity, and conversation.

Almost immediately, life met me there. New connections appeared, conversations turned into collaborations, and with two new friends, one who grew up in Alexandria and even went to the same high school (crazy!), and another who recently opened a new studio Monarch Soul here in Coronado, we began dreaming up a couple of offerings that will come to life this month.

It was a gentle reminder that we don’t have to know everything in advance. There is a rhythm moving within us and around us, and trust often means allowing ourselves to move with it rather than pushing or forcing what we think should happen.

This month, I’m reflecting on the invitation to trust and wondering how this might resonate with you, too. Trust rarely shows up as certainty. More often, it arrives as a quiet nudge, a small next step, or the courage to let go of expectations and see what unfolds.

Speaking of things quietly taking shape… 2026 is already offering its greatest surprise. Our oldest son, Patrick, and his wife, Maddie, are expecting a baby boy in April. We are beyond thrilled to be entering the world of grandparenting and, with them nearby, look forward to this beautiful new chapter ahead. 💙
